Results: Ekurhuleni IFAA Indoor Championships 16-17 February 2019

The results of the Ekurhuleni IFAA Indoor Championships that took place at Mocking Jay Archery on 16-17 February 2019 have been published on the SANAA website.

Kyudo Seniors to visit and give demonstration, 5th August at the range.

Join us for a Kyudo demonstration at the Archers of Zoolake archery range on Sunday 5 August at 14h00, and a social bring-and-braai as well.

We're calling it a day of archery at the archery range! It's a social event for experienced archers, as well as archers-to-be that are interested to learn more and observe skilled archers!

The festivities start at 14h00 and continue all the way until 17h00. Here's a look at the programme, so that you don't miss out!
 

NO ENTRY FEE AND NO BOOKING REQUIRED

Kyūdō is the Japanese martial art of archery. Kyudo Senior and President of the All South African Kyudo Federation, Jade Fraundorfer and his team will be presenting and demonstrating the art of Kyudo with a Q&A session afterward.

Please note that only experienced archers will be permitted to shoot on the day.

• Held at Archers of Zoolake Archery Range: No. 2 Prince Of Wales Drive, Zoolake Park, Saxonwold, Randburg.

The programme starts off with an important safety briefing at the beginning of the lesson. This entails the coach explaining the rules and workings of the archery range; the coach explaining and demonstrating shooting a recurve bow; and then get everyone up and running with some coaching. Once all the participants are comfortable with shooting a bow, we will introduce some challenges.
